Camp 2004 Overview

The 57th Texas International Folk Dance camp happened over Thanksgiving weekend 2004. Our teachers were Steve Kotansky teaching Hungarian and Romanian (primarily couple) dances and Bob Leibman, teaching Macedonian dance. In addition to our wonderful local musicians, the 2004 camp also featured Macedonian music by Trio Slavej.

• As talked about in the Camp 2004 Registration brochure, Bob Leibman led a re-enactment of parts of a late-1960s wedding from Peshtani (southwest Macedonia). (There are lots of pictures of this re-enactment above!) For a description of the wedding and the different roles, click here.
