Texas Camp!

Texas Camp is one of the longest-running and best-loved international folk dance camps in the U.S. The setting is Greene Family Camp, a modern facility in the wooded hills of central Texas. We hope you will join us for a wonderful holiday experience full of dancing, feasting, fellowship, music and fun.

Post-camp surveys: The post-camp survey has been analyzed and TIFD members were emailed instructions for accessing survey results. If you have lost this information, email webmaster@tifd.org for details. (Don't forget to let me know your name so I can verify your membership).

Texas Camp Syllabi Master Index

Updated January 2008!
The Texas Camp Syllabi Master Index lists over 1300 dances published in Texas Camp syllabi from 1954 through 2007.

TIFD Special Survey

A special survey was sent out in January 2006 to both current and previous TIFD members to find out what campers want from Texas Camp. The results have been compiled, and you can read the report.

Donations Welcome

Are you interested in helping TIFD fund Texas Camp? Please consider donating to our live music fund, camp scholarship fund, floor fund or general fund. We are also looking for donations of frequent flyer miles! Details are on the Sponsorship Form.

Past Camps

The 2007 Texas Camp featured Salsa and Romanian line dances.
The 2006 Texas Camp featured Vintage couple dances and Balkan dances.
The 2005 Texas Camp featured Scandinavian couple dances and classic Israeli dances.
The 2004 Texas Camp featured Macedonian, Hungarian and Romanian dances.
The 2003 Texas Camp featured Croatian dances and Argentine Tango.
The 2002 Texas Folk Dance Camp featured Bulgarian and six-count swing.
